Okay, so Super Bowl was last Sunday and I’m not so happy about it. I can’t believe that the 49ers lost to the Ravens. It was funny though, all of us were sitting in front of the TV yelling at it. If it wasn’t for Vernon Davis #85 and his butterfingers we might have just won. I mean Colin Kaepernick’s #7 passes were just outstanding!

Football Football is one of my favorite things to do. The reason why I like to play football is because I like the adrenaline rush I get when I catch the football, and start to run for a touchdown. Another reason why I like it is because I get to tackle people to the ground. My friends and I like to play football in the summer when we don’t have anything to do. Baltimore vs. San Francisco
This last Sunday was the Super Bowl. It was with the Baltimore Ravens, and the San Francisco 49ers. The quarterback for the 49ers, is Colin Kaepernick. On Sunday, Kaepernick threw 302 yards. He was also the first San Francisco quarterback to throw an interception in the Super Bowl. Over all, he did really well for his first Super Bowl. The quarter back for Baltimore is Joe Flacco. This was an interesting Super Bowl, for many reasons. First off, the coaches of both teams are brothers, Jim and John Harbaugh. In the middle of the game, the power to the whole stadium went out, for 35 minutes. At this point, Ravens were up 26-6. After the power returned, the 49ers shot up fast. Her life story makes her so strong, the way she got her life together and started to write music and then she decided to write music for other people and now she has a song with Florider and David Gutta and now she has written a song for Neyo. Valentine’s Day started when a man named Saint Valentine was imprisoned for doing weddings for soldiers that were forbidden to be married. On his execution he wrote “from your valentine” and that is where the saying came from. So this year tell the person you love about how much you admire them and love them, and have a wonderful Valentine’s Day.

So, Super Bowl Sunday is over and now the question I keep getting is, “Did you watch the game?” To answer, no I did not. To be completely honest, I never really cared much about football or really any other traditional sport despite all of the all American sports propaganda I was fed since I was a child. Everything from bed sheets to bookends, despite the fact that I never once showed any interest. One day I actually did gain an interest in basketball and so I told them “I want to play basketball.” So of course they promptly put me in tee-ball. You know, baseballs handicapped little brother, where instead of throwing the ball to you they put it on a post and you’re supposed to hit it as far as you can. The game where 20% of the kids run in the wrong direction, 30% of the kids spend their time in the outfield eating grass, 35% of the kids strike out, and 15% of the kids actually have the attention span to play. Like I said before, I never really cared much for sports. One of the biggest reasons I don’t watch football is that I don’t really have the patience for it. They spend 30 seconds making a play and then spend 5 minutes talking about it. No thank you. That doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy the food though. I was standing at the buffet table getting a bowl of ice cream and some seven layer dip when someone asked me, “Who are you rooting for?” “Uh… who are you rooting for?” “The Ravens” “WHOO! RAVENS! FOOTBALL! ...YEAH!” The part I enjoy most about the Super Bowl is the commercials, and thanks to modern technology and YouTube, I no longer have to sit through all that football crap. I got a good solid 20 minutes of chuckles and I didn’t even have to sit through halftime. My people, this is progress. At this rate, we should have jetpacks and gummy bears growing on bushes in the next few thousand years.

Book Review I read the book Go Ask Alice and I really liked it. It was about a young girl that becomes addicted to drugs and it tells about how she got through her addiction. I think that her story is really deep and explains a lot about teenage addiction. This is a really good book for teenagers because many can relate to her story. The kids need more work in class to keep them busy in class and we need more gym classes twice a day. Ok,we will give you more work, but we don't have time to give more gym classes, because we need to give the other subjects too.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT WATER BOTTLES? I THINK WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE WATER BOTTLES HERE. The problem with this is that kids share and then pass germs, also some kids sneak things in their water bottles that aren't water.
WHY DON’T WE HAVE BREAKFAST? I THINK WE SHOULD AT LEAST GIVE BREAKFEAST A CHANCE. I agree, but for now eat a big breakfast at home.
WHY DON’T WE HAVE CANDY IN CLASS? I THINK THAT IT WOULD HELP THE KIDS BE A LITTLE BIT HAPPY ALL THROUGH OUT THE DAY WITH CANDY TO SNACK ON. We do have some candy in class, but if we gave too much it would cost too much, and become a distraction. Also, kids leave their candy wrappers everywhere.
Communication with others. like be allowed to talk to kids who you may not like and you have to be nice.

My philosophy of drawing
When I draw I try to shade more so that I give the picture more definition. Also when somebody draws, to me the idea of a drawing or painting or something there of is to try and bring a particular thought or image to life. So start by giving the image/thought a light outline so that you can redo or fix a mistake. Then as you get more detailed and closer to the final product of the sketch you darken your sketch’s details so that they are more defined and noticeable. Then if you want to make it more permanent you can ink you drawing with a fine point or a broader point ink pen of your preference. I prefer to ink the finer details first then move to the more broader details. Good luck. Yours truly… Angel
